The theme of this year’s event is ‘connectivity’ and with this in mind, organiser Datateam Business Media is introducing a number of fresh, interactive elements to bring all of new and exciting technologies to life. And that’s not all. It’s also moving to the larger and more accessible Hall 1, which is conveniently located right at the NEC’s main entrance, making Sensors & Instrumentation the stand out show of 2017!

A number of exhibitors have already signed up, including Bronkhorst UK, Dewesoft, EA Technology, Fischer Connectors, Gantner Instruments, Huba , Infratec, Innovative Sensor Technology IST AG, Jumo Instrument Co Ltd, Keller, Korea Railroad Research Institute, Lighthouse (UK), M+P International, Meggit Sensing Systems, KDP Electronics, Metasphere, Michell Instruments, PR Electronics, Pressure Sensor Limited, Sensor Technology, Shawcity, Techni Measure, Visual UK Yokogawa UK and more.

The popular seminar programme will be expanded to allow for more speaker slots and further opportunities for exhibitors to interact directly with a focused and highly engaged audience. Neil Mead, managing editor of the Industrial Division at Datateam Business Media said: “We will have some really outstanding speakers lined up to present on everything from new legislation to changing trends, manufacturing challenges and product application. Whether you are a buyer, specifier, designer, engineer or technician, our  wide ranging programme will undoubtedly address key topics that impact on your working day and add value to your visit.”

Exhibitors will also have a chance to showcase their products and solutions to a dedicated audience – live on stage – as part of our fully interactive and brand spanking new feature area, Connecting Industry LIVE!

Neil explains what it’s all about: “Connecting Industry LIVE will bring together leading suppliers from the many different sectors of manufacturing and provide design, mechanical, maintenance, systems and electrical engineers with the perfect opportunity to see the latest products, services and solutions in person and in one place.

“Leveraging on the comprehensive and well-respected Connecting Industry portfolio of leading industrial publications, this event will forge a link between technology innovators and end users, enabling them find and discuss ways they can improve their operational efficiency, productivity and profitability.

“The Live Demo Stage will be the centrepiece of this new event where exhibitors will have the opportunity to show the audience what they can offer via live technical product demonstrations. This will also give visitors the chance to learn and understand how these could benefit their own particular manufacturing operations and applications.

“Providing a vital link between product developers, solution engineers and end users, Connecting Industry LIVE will offer two days of unmissable networking, demonstration and learning opportunities for anyone involved in the manufacturing Industry.”

Innovation showcase

Innovation Showcase is returning for a third year running. Located at a key destination point within the hall, this too has been expanded to allow even more exhibitors to display their latest products and technology.

Event director Kathryn Ambrose comments: “With a number of new and enhanced feature areas,  it’s going to be an action packed two days at the NEC this September. Our aim is to give visitors and exhibitors a much more interactive show experience and showcase the kinds of products and solutions that promote  real innovation out in the field. The format of the show also allows our exhibitors do much more than just exhibit, they can engage with visitors on stand, in the seminar theatre, and as part of Connecting Industry LIVE or Innovation Showcase enabling visitors to listen, see, learn and try before making an educated choice.”
