Think you have what it takes to beat Lewis Hamilton on the race track? Then come along to Sensors & Instrumentation tomorrow and test your driving skills in the StrainSense F1 simulator. The StrainSense F1 simulator will be a central feature at this year’s only UK event dedicated to industrial sensors used for test, measurement and control.
Now in its 7th year and firmly established as the UK’s only national sensors event, Sensors & Instrumentation returns to Hall 3 at the NEC Birmingham on Wednesday 28th and Thursday 29th September. Free visitor registration is open now!
Last year’s show attracted over 3,000 visitors, a staggering 86% of which were responsible for purchasing or influenced purchasing decisions within their organisation. And with over 100 exhibitors dedicated to showcasing the latest products, technology and solutions in test, measurement and control this year’s show is set to be even bigger and better.
Sensirion is planning to exhibit new and refined sensor solutions for measuring humidity and temperature, differential pressure, gas and liquid flow. Philipp Seidel, project leader (marketing & communications) says: “Beside of exploring our new and refined sensor solutions, visitors will have the chance to meet our new sales Manager for the UK Anna Schulenburg, who will be giving our new differential pressure sensor SDP3x – the world’s smallest flow sensor on the market.
“Due to the fact that the sensor industry is a steadily growing market, the Sensors & Instrumentations is a valuable platform for Sensirion to present our latest sensor innovations and to get in touch with a variety of interesting contacts.”
Commenting on the importance of the show for Binder UK, managing director, David Phillips, says: “This is the perfect forum for us to present new products and engage with sensor manufacturers. We will feature a number of new products including the M5 shielded and over-moulded sensor connectors that complement the existing unshielded range of M5 sensor connectors. Also on show will be new M12 A- and B-coded crimp connectors designed to withstand high levels of vibration and shock loads and a range of M12 A-coded connectors designed specifically for the food and beverage, pharmaceutical and chemical industries.
“Completing the display will be M12 A-coded, over-moulded power connectors rated to 8A and 250V to meet the growing demand for increased current handling with M12 connectors.”
Pressure-Sensor.com is a global designer of sensor-based products, used in a variety of applications from automotive to consumer and industrial. The aim of the show, says Chris Anderson, director of sales and marketing, “is to offer customers the opportunity to discuss in detail our range of standard sensors and the options for full-custom OEM products, to look for distributors and partners in Europe and to extend our brand awareness.”
Chris continues: “As well as showing our range of finished and semi-finished sensors and a selection of sensor-based consumer products, Bluetooth (BLE) enabled sensors for industrial and commercial applications are an exciting enhancement to our product range”
Rodars’ director of operations, Phil Atkins comments: “We will be showing our well established DHB and DHU products used in Geotechnical Instrumentation but are looking to discuss applications for our new FHB & FHU range of In-Place Inclinometers as well as any custom requirements for Tilt Measurement that visitors to the Show may have.”
Martin Sharratt, director of AP Technologies says: “This will be our first time exhibiting at Sensors and Instrumentation. As a supplier of components used in a range of sensors across multiple applications and markets we are always looking for cost- and time-effective methods of meeting existing customers and new prospects. I see this show as an opportunity to meet the UK’s sensor and instrumentation community under one roof.”

Rob Stockham, general manager, tells visitors to expect, “live demonstration of Gantner modules and software showing measurement of dynamic values, with data logging, visualisation and analysis. We will be highlighting ‘EtherCAT’ and ‘Cloud’ solutions demonstrating Gantner Instruments leading edge technology for a wide variety of industries and applications across the range of test and measurement requirements.”

Besides a great line-up of exhibitors showcasing all of the latest products and solutions is a lively and informative CPD accredited seminar programme.
